Windham Lacrosse COVID-19 Protocols

WYL's COVID-19 Protocols (Updated 4/9/21)

2021 Spring Season

  • Face covering is defined as a mask or cloth that covers the entire nose and mouth.
  • Face coverings are required for staff, coaches, and designated adults serving as support for all practices and activities.
  • Face coverings are required by coaches and athletes while on the sidelines.
  • Face coverings are optional for athletes during lacrosse on field activity.
  • Face coverings are required for all spectators during all home games and practices.  See the applicable COVID regulations of a specific organization or facility for guidelines for away games.
  • Parents are responsible to take any attendees' (participant and guardian's) temperature and monitor for COVID-19 symptoms prior to arrival.  Attendance is not permitted with any signs of elevated temperature, fever, or other COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Any athlete, parent, or coach who experiences illness, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19 should not attend our training.
  • Coaches will take attendance at each session in order to provide contact tracing details if requested by the CDC.
  • Athletes or staff who traveled via public transportation, who had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or who traveled internationally should not attend our training for 14 days.
  • Coaches and staff will keep a 6-foot distance from parents and athletes when possible.
  • No high-fives, handshakes, or huddles.
  • Athletes should not touch each other's equipment, sticks, water bottles, etc.
  • Athletes must bring their own water and should not share water bottles.
  • Parents are asked to keep socially distant from each other, from the athletes, and from coaches while attending our activities. We do not want large crowds of parents/spectators around the perimeter of the playing surface.
  • Windham Youth Lacrosse will inform families if COVID-19 has impacted an event.  Per CDC guidelines, this is defined as having COVID-19 symptoms or testing positive for COVID-19 two (2) or less days after a Winter Skills event.
